***Position: Mornings on WQNU Q103.1

SummitMedia Louisville is looking for their next on-air superstar. This is not a “liner jock” position. We are interested in on-air personalities that consistently deliver unique and compelling content every day. Personalities that realize the importance of relating to the audience. Strong social media skills are a must. Weekend availability (for public appearances, live remote broadcasts, etc.) is also required. Qualified applicants must have at least 3 years of full-time on-air experience. Personalities from all formats and all dayparts are encouraged to apply.

This person will work directly with Cagle, the Operations Manager, and will be responsible for planning a daily air shift every weekday morning from 5am-10am. They will also be required to meet with the OM every day to aircheck/plan and discuss their morning air shift. This position will also require live public appearances, live remote broadcasts, and a voicetracked shift on the weekends.

Strong time management and organizational skills are a must. All employees are expected to bring a positive attitude to the work place and be cheerful, cooperative, and productive. May be asked to perform other duties- as needed- for the effective operation of the station. ***Position: Assistant Program Director/Afternoons on WQNU Q103.1

SummitMedia Louisville is looking for our next APD/Afternoon superstar for WQNU (Q103). Qualified applicants must have 3 to 5 years of on-air/programming experience, be great at show prep and generating creative content for on-air and social media, possess excellent production and imaging skills and be willing to do live remotes and appearances.

This person will work directly with Cagle, the Operations Manager, to plan and execute the day-to-day programming of WQNU; to include, strategy, music scheduling, library maintenance, copy writing for imaging and promotions duties. A daily air shift will be required for this position.

***Position: Digital Sales Manager

The Digital Sales Manager (DSM) is responsible for driving online advertising revenue for the Summit Media Louisville Market.  He or she will work directly with local Account Executives, Digital Campaign Managers, the Director of Sales and the Chief Digital Officer to ensure that new business development, current account retention and new product/platform launch goals are achieved.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the resident digital product, process and sales strategy expert in the local market
  • Train, coach and develop Account Executives to their fullest potential as well as providing feedback to enhance employee career growth
  • Actively pursue local client opportunities to ensure Local Digital Budget Achievement
  • Work directly with Account Executives to grow their Digital Sales as well as monitor current campaigns, provide optimizations and feedback, and take an integral role in campaign renewal
  • Assist in the preparation, creation and delivery of compelling presentations to clients
  • Onboard and training of new Account Executives for Digital
  • Develop a work environment that motivates and maintains a high level of employee performance and morale
  • Measure, grow and exceed digital sales goals
  • Directly accountable for the successful execution of each campaign, ensuring defined goals are achieved.
  • Establish and monitor key pacing metrics and conduct frequent pipeline review to effectively forecast results with the Chief Digital Officer and Director of Sales

Qualifications:

  • 4-year business degree preferred
  • A minimum of 2 years Digital Sales or Digital Management experience required
  • Excellent leadership and motivational skills
  • Creative thinker and problem solver
  • Exceptional Digital product/platform knowledge, proficient analytic reporting skills and personal selling skills
  • Ability to share market leadership vision, establish team buy-in and build loyalty
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to manage through difficult and emotional customer situations

***Position: Account Manager

SummitMedia LLC Louisville is currently looking for a Full Time Account Manager that will be responsible for generating media revenues in the market. As an Account Manager, you will be expected to establish strong relationships with local businesses and agencies. You will work collaboratively with your clients and sales management to create complete marketing solutions to reach their target audiences.  Other responsibilities include: finding and acquiring new business opportunities, presenting complete marketing plans using research tools, attending networking events, oversee campaign execution and attend promotional events. You must present a professional and polished image of the company you represent. Candidate will also work closely with internal departments (ie: programming, promotions, business and traffic) to help fulfill the client’s expectation with regard to all areas of their business relationship with the company.

The successful candidate must be flexible, personable and able to orchestrate sales and promotional plans developed for clients successfully. The successful candidate must also be organized, dependable, self-motivated and project a professional appearance and friendly demeanor. A valid driver’s license and background check is required.

***Position: Street Team/Board Operator
Stations: WVEZ-FM, WQNU-FM, WSFR-FM, and WRKA-FM
Positions Available: Part Time

Summit Media, which owns and operates four radio stations in Louisville, has an immediate need for a part-time Street Team Member and Board Operator. In this role, you will have duties such as:

  • Interacting with listeners, leading games, and perhaps speaking on the microphone/PA.
  • Setting up station events: raising tents, plugging in sound systems, putting up signage/banners.
  • Take responsibility for station equipment and ensure it returns from events in peak condition.
  • Successfully communicate with several different types of positions: listeners, employees, management at events, and clients.
  • Assist with administrative duties as assigned by the Promotions Department.
  • Running the studio board for live broadcasts
  • Other duties as assigned

We are looking for someone with an outgoing personality who can get along with all types of personalities, as well as excellent communication and customer service skills.  If you are the type of person who will jump in to help out in any way you can, we’re looking for you!
